Fresh start
The reason a wrap still looks right in year four is almost entirely decided before any film comes off the roll.
Send the year, make and model plus what you have in mind. Photos help. You get a real quote, not a range.
The car is washed, decontaminated and inspected. Any paint issue that would affect the result gets flagged before work starts.
Trim, badges and hardware come off rather than getting cut around. It is slower, and it is the reason the edges hold.
Film is laid, wrapped into the edges, and post-heated so it stays where it was put. One vehicle at a time.
Every panel is gone over under the lights before you see it, and you get told exactly how to look after it.
★★★★★Had my Mercedes AMG GT wrapped at Sheer, and the entire experience was exceptional. Scheduling was seamless, drop-off and pickup were efficient, and communication was clear throughout. The car was finished exactly on time.
★★★★★Couldn't be happier with how my truck turned out. He did an awesome job on the wrap, the attention to detail was on point, and he had the entire truck finished in less than 24 hours. Super easy to work with and professional.
★★★★★Came in to get my Audi S5 wrapped gloss berry blue and I was very impressed with the work. No corners cut on the job, and I get compliments weekly asking if the wrap is paint.
It depends on the vehicle and the film. A compact coupe with simple bodywork takes far less material and labour than a truck with a deep bumper and heavy curves, and color-shift or forged-carbon films cost more per roll than a standard gloss. Send us the year, make and model along with the color you are after and we will give you a real number rather than a range.
A quality film that was installed properly and looked after will typically give you several years of good service. Sun exposure is the biggest factor — a car that lives outside on the Central Coast ages faster than one that is garaged. Hand washing and avoiding harsh automatic car washes makes a genuine difference.
Not when the factory paint is healthy and the film is removed correctly. That is one of the main reasons people wrap instead of repaint: it is reversible. Where problems occur it is almost always because a panel had previous bodywork or aftermarket paint underneath, so we check for that before quoting.
They do different jobs. PPF is clear and its purpose is impact protection — rock chips, road debris, scratches. A vinyl wrap is about changing the color and finish. Plenty of cars get both: PPF on the front end that takes the hits, wrap over the rest for the look.
A full wrap is usually a multi-day job because the prep, the install and the post-heating all take time and none of it should be rushed. Smaller work — a front-end PPF package, tint, a single-stage polish — is often turned around much faster. We will give you a realistic window when we quote, and we stick to it.
Almost always, yes. A coating seals in whatever the paint looks like on the day it goes on, so applying one over swirl marks locks those swirls in for years. Correcting first is what makes the coating worth paying for.
